Lam Ching Ying's face was unique.
It is improper and impolite to say something like this, especially when I'm probably wrong in my opinion, that in my eyes his face did not bear the typical marks of those beautiful Chinese faces. His jaw-bones were a bit wider. His hair was not that black and thick. His eyes were not that dark. But of course he was very Chinese and this mixture made his whole face structure very individual.
He had a delicately shaped face with a very soft, gentle expression. No wonder he could easily play a woman. This face emphasized with those eyebrows and moustaches could make us believe that we watch an old man or a solemn, severe sifu.
I'm sure these characteristics moved the artists to execute the following work of arts.
While I was searching the Net for information about Ying I kept bumping into drawings about him. Every single one was absolutely amazing. They show a great affection and inspiration and last but not least a huge amount of fantasy. I felt a sudden urge to collect them, and try to share with those who like him. I'm sure Ying himself would be proud and moved to see these artworks.
I would like to express my thanks to the artists for allowing me to use their drawings.
These pictures I found on a Japanese fansite. Some of them are really strange, even weird to me, so I created a separated page for these artworks! Please, don't get offended. I consider them as fantasies, a way of thinking!
Ckick here to see the others!
